It’s a Me, Me World

We all want to talk about me ~ not me, Chris but me ~ ourselves. But in a Direct Sales world that could be a major detriment to our business. Why? Your guests and especially, your hostess want to have the attention on them. If your brain is focused on how much can I make tonight, you are not focusing on the main reason for being in a direct sales/ party plan company. Well maybe you are, but it shows in your attitude that money rules… Try looking at “what can I bring to my show that will really WOW them and excite them so much that they want to book a show with me?” “What special can I create or what game can I do that will entice them into buying more today?”

In taking the focus off of you and putting it on your hostess and her guests, you will create an environment that is relaxed and exciting. Even how you ask people to host a show reflects on you or your hostess. If you have been asking someone to book a show because you are new – you are asking for a favor. If you are trying to win a contest and “will you do a show for me?” – you are focusing on you and your needs.

Turn the focus around and show someone the awesome new hostess specials you have and the focus is now on Their wants and needs. You have to show the customer that they Need to have this product in order for them to buy it. By feeding their Need and creating a want, you now have a booking and/or a sale!

Excellent customer service comes out of feeding the customer what They need, not what you need. Continue to give to your hostess and guests and you will have a thriving business!
