When you are bringing new team members into your direct sales business it is important to remember that these people will join your team for different reasons. Everyone is looking for something different in their home based business. Once you understand those reasons, then you will know who your target market is and can effectively tailor your recruiting pitch to them.

Here are 3 reasons that a new member will consider joining your team and want to start their own direct sales or work at home business.

1. Personal Use ~ This type of consultant is looking to make just a little bit of money and will most likely only be joining to take a few orders every month from their family, friends and co-workers. Building a strong direct sales business is in all of our plans that will benefit our lifestyle. Having the right tools will also help in building that business.

When you spend time and money to place advertising and market for your business, you need to make sure that you have in place the proper tools to track your ads.

One great thing about having your own website is that you can create and use a special landing page for each ad you place on line. If you have everyone come in on your home page, then you are not going to be able to track how they came to your site. So for one website you have an ad on, use one landing page; another site, a different landing page and so on. Make sure to write it down too, so you don’t forget.

This is also usable for offline advertising as well. If you direct them to a certian page, then you know what ad they came from. If they are calling you directly, then you can ask then where they found your ad and still be able to track your hits.

Another good tool to use is a stat counter that comes with key word searches. With this tool, you can actually see what people are using to find your site and you can incorporate that into your website and your other marketing tools.

Google Analytics is a great thing to have installed on your site. They will do all the tracking and you can get reports with the results. This will really help your traffic and advertising campaigns.

The whole thing about tracking your advertising is so you don’t waste your time on placing ads that bring you no traffic. You want to be a be abe to use your time and money wisely. If something is not working, you need to know as soon as possible so you can correct the ad or know not to use it again.

I Know! What a riot!! Just think how I felt when I realized that…..

Ok, no more kidding around.

Seriously, people. If you have the tools at your finger tips to sell more product, why aren’t you doing it? If you have the tools and the product to sell, what is stopping you? The longer you whine and complain about not having sales, the less effective your whining is. Because people for hundreds and thousands of years have been selling product to feed their family, house their family and make a dang good living.

You have made a decision about the types of product that you want to sell the day you paid the money to join the business; the day you created the product line; the day you published the ebook or report, so what is stopping you? Are you afraid to ASK someone to buy from you?

I know it is easy to giveaway products and services and hope that lucky person will come back and actually buy from you. But that cannot happen forever. You have to get off your bootay and get out there. Get out into your community. Get out into other streams of people on the internet. By hanging with the same old crowd, you are going to get the same old results.

Come up with creative ways to market your products and ask for the sale. It sounds so simple and it really is. Ignore the negative nellies in your life and just do it. You just need to do it!

Just think how nice it will be to have money in your pocket and product moving. You know that having this product at your finger tips means that you can have money any time. Just go sell something. You love your product. That is why you wanted to sell it. And Guess what? Other people love your product as well. You just need to find them and they will appreciate you. Don’t let any negative thoughts get in your way. Get rid of the excuses and just go for it.
